soupbiscuit talking about romance. I don't know if it's especially pithy, but I have trouble conveying this message to others. They should do what they want but they just fold into what they think they should want.
By others, I very much mean myself, although it's hard to distinguish expectations (more on this in the post above).When you know what you actually want it's very hard for third parties to interfere.
