Albums!

While watching Enchanted (again!) with my parents, I got a good chance to look through some old picture albums. I asked my mom to give me some. She gave me the ~3 since I've been born.

Oh nostalgia! What wonders!

I realize, now, that I'd abandoned something (everything) from my past. When I came to college I gave up all the things I hadn't decided on myself. I let go of it all. I think this eroded the place where my confidence was coming from. Instead of with a past full of success and community, I sprung into college as a fully formed individual. This is too bad. It'll be hard to capture all that again.

Also, I got to see a bit of what my daughter(s) will look like. They'll have hit the jackpot. Gotta love my Nordic roots.
